ERCC CHAIRMAN TO PROMOTE USVI TRIP ON WSTA RADIO THIS AFTERNOON

Basseterre, St. Kitts (September 14, 2006): Electoral Reform Consultative Committee (ERCC) Chairman Elvis Newton will be live on WSTA Radio 1340 AM this afternoon at around 2:40pm. WSTA’s Peter Ottley will interview him about the public consultations over the weekend in the United States Virgin Islands (USVI).

A delegation consisting of Chairman Newton and ERCC members Clive Bacchus, Douglas Wattley, and Mutryce Williams will travel to the USVI on Friday to meet with St. Kitts and Nevis Nationals who reside in St. Croix and St. Thomas.

Another delegation of Electoral Reform Consultative Committee (ERCC) members comprised of Elvin Bailey, Clifford Thomas, and Clement Williams, along with the Press Officer for the Electoral Reform Secretariat, Valencia Grant, would have travelled to the United Kingdom this weekend for public consultations with St. Kitts and Nevis Nationals in Birmingham, Leeds, London, and Manchester, but that trip has been postponed to October.
