BULLETIN: DEADLINE FOR ELECTORAL REFORM E-MAIL SUBMISSIONS IS 12:00 A.M.

Basseterre, St. Kitts (November 6, 2006): Members of the public have up to midnight to e-mail their recommendations for an improved electoral system to the Electoral Reform Consultative Committee (ERCC). The e-mail address is erccsubmissions@gov.kn.

Stakeholders in the electoral reform process are invited to forward suggestions to erccsubmissions@gov.kn in order for their voices to be heard in the St. Kitts and Nevis Electoral Reform Exercise.

The Electoral Reform Consultative Committee will submit a report to the National Advisory Electoral Reform and Boundaries Committee (NAERBC) later this month. Its report to the NAERBC will present concerns and recommendations that the public voiced during public consultations.

Public consultations began two months ago on September 4.

The estimated life span of the National Advisory Electoral Reform and Boundaries Committee is one month.
