ERCC CHAIRMAN ELVIS NEWTON WILL BE “TALKING THE NEWS” TOMORROW

Basseterre, St. Kitts (September 2, 2006): Electoral Reform Consultative Committee (ERCC) Chairman Mr. Elvis Newton is going on Anguilla’s Heart Beat Radio (HBR) 107.5 FM to disseminate information on the St. Kitts and Nevis Electoral Reform Exercise to Kittitians and Nevisians living in Anguilla. HBR is known for its strong news department and reggae selection.

Tomorrow between 8:05am and 8:30am, Mr. Newton will phone in and be a guest on Talking the News, a popular current affairs programme that broadcasts directly after the Morning News on HBR.

“We take the international headline story and the major story from the Caribbean and Anguilla, and we interact on them,” says Heart Beat Radio News Director Mr. Whaldama Brooks, who is also known as “Ras B”.

HBR presenter, Mr. Victor Nickeo, who is also known as Mello Sello, says he looks forward to working with the Electoral Reform Consultative Committee (ERCC), not only because electoral reform is an important issue. He is a Kittitian, after all.

Consultations will take place in Anguilla with St. Kitts and Nevis Nationals between Friday, September 8 and Sunday, September 10, 2006.
